Jake Hates Everything SF13 E54

It’s the show that might break the mold as this week Wes welcomes Jake Godbold, horror expert and agent of Mini C the Unspeakable, for an interesting premise. Jake has requested Wes watch two movies and the challenge is for Wes to guess which movie Jake liked and which one Jake hated. The results are hilarious.

Not only do we get the results on the movie challenge, between CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST and SOCIETY, but we also get some passionate commentary on both films and a few lessions on copywrite barriers. Plus Wes gets the lowdown on Jake’s thoughts about virtual conventions.

In our regular features, don’t miss Joe Lewis’ review of the HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR.

Nicholas Vincent aka Circus Envy SF13 E50

If you have a fear of clowns, this episode is for you! What better way to usher in Halloween than to have the face of Halloween himself, Nicholas Vincent aka Circus Envy as a guest.

Circus Envy is the alter ego of Nicholas and has been a part of his life for over 20yrs. There’s a lot of psychology behind him being a clown and he gives Wes a small glimpse into that and he even turned his story into a comic book to dive into the origins of Circus Envy. Nicholas is a very well spoken and articulate person and hearing him speak is a welcome change from our usual rif raf (only partially joking) so you won’t want to skip this episode.

Bonus content with this episode is Wes debuting his new character Whispers the Clown and giving us the magic that is clown hands. Seriously, it’s majestic and you’ll want to check it out.

Chris Majors SF13 E45

The talk is all about the stars tonight as Wes and co-hoest CC Ann welcome celebrity agent, musician, and memorabilia collector Chris Majors to the show. Chris’ agency, Monster Memorabilia and Entertainment, is chalk full of media stars you’ll recognize plus cool collectibles for all of the superfans.

Chris discusses how the pandemic has affected his agency and what he has done to remain sustainable, how he became a celebrity agent, his feelings on virtual conventions, and all of the numerous other aspects of his job. Along the way he also shares a few celeb stories and even offers some roofing advice. It’s that kind of show!

In our weekly offering Joe Lewis takes a look at a SHUDDER exclusive movie and the Week in Horror gets squishy and brutal. This week also sadly sees the last Scarefest TV offering from our Aussie movie maestro Glenn but what an offering it is.

We’ll miss Glenn on the show but you can always still find him at FakeShemp and Good Movie Monday. G’Day Mate!

Scarefest Cancellation and Post CyberCon SF13 E44

Not quite the post episode we are use to but this is our first ever post Cybercon break down and Wes is joined by Brandon and Nicole Griffith to talk the wins and loses for our test run.

Unfortunately they also discuss the cancelation of Scarefest 13 and what that means going forward not only with the convention itself but the convention center as well.

Dirk Strangely from QuarantinedCon

This week we get super virtual as Wes and guest co-host Nicole Griffith welcome multimedia artist Dirk Strangely to the show to talk about online alternatives to attending conventions in the days of a pandemic.

Dirk, Wes, and Nicole discuss the development and evolution of online platforms like ArtFarm into a digital convention floor for these chaotic times, dealing with agents and programmers, and how virtual speaker panels and vendor booths would work in a digital conference. Modern problems call for modern solutions.

We also get some UFO-logy in the Week in Horror plus our usual helpings of movie enlightenment from Joe Lewis and Glenn Cochrane. .

Brandon Griffith SF13 E24

This week Wes has a cozy chat with Scarefest co-owner, and all-around workhorse, Brandon Griffith about the progress on Scarefest 13 during the pandemic era. They discuss the new neighboring entertainment complex, ideas to keep events close to the center of the action, and Brandon’s love of the Stepehen King classic, THE STAND.

Along the way, Wes and Brandon also make another great celebrity announcement. If you liked the NIGHT OF THE DEMONS movies, you’re in for a treat. Plus there’s going to be new creative contests added to the Scarefest social media pages that will definitely be worth checking out.

FakeShemp asks us to take a fresh look at a misunderstood werewolf classic, the Week in Horror tells about two wildly different films, and Joe Lewis tackles John Carpenter. Well, not really. Just his movies.

Stick around after the main broadcast and check out the second installment in the rural murder mystery series THE FIFTH HOLLAR

Adam Johnson Scarefest Stars Row Security SF13 E22

Scarefest wouldn’t be what it is without the amazing people behind the scenes and this week Wes along with cohost Chad Harlen, sit down and talk to one of those people Adam Johnson, team lead for stars row security.

Adam has been a part of the Scarefest family since day one and he talks to us about who his first celebrity was as a handler and who his favorite celebrity is. Adam also shares some of his most memorable moments during his time with Scarefest and the trio discuss what’s currently on their watch lists. Sit back and enjoy listening to 3 friends chat about a little bit of everything.

We also have our weekly segments along with answers to questions we’ve all been dying to know, like what on Facebook makes Wes’ butt tighten up.

Brandon Griffith SF13 E19

This week Wes sits down for a cozy chat with Brandon Griffith, Scarefest co-owner and scholar of many things horror and paranormal related, with the focus on the progress being made toward Scarefest 13.

Brandon discusses how the work on the Convention center is shaping up, ideas for improving events like the VIP party, and booking guests thematically so they tie together well. An example being this week’s announcements of several celebrities involved with the Hellraiser franchise. No spoilers but it builds to a HUGE announcement! (His name rhymes with Jive)

In our regular features, we get a visit from a cranky Joe Lewis as well as Trailer Nation. FakeShemp brings us some found footage awesomeness. Also, don’t forget to check out Glenn’s new show, Good Movie Monday.

Lastly, we’ll get more ax throwing this year. Oh yeah!!!
