Scarefest 13 is shaping up to be our best year yet and Wes and Adrienne are hear to discuss everything coming our way. From the launch party, horror trivia, VIP party, black carpet event and so much more. With the new convention center comes new space and new exciting things like live entertainment throughout the weekend, larger stage for costume contests and the most exciting is the addition of Lexlive which brings with it a large variety of things to do including theaters for our film festival which promises to bring the best films Scarefest has ever seen.

Scarefest 13 is back with a vengeance and promises something for everyone so you’ll want to tune in and get the run down from those in the know. As an added bonus, you also get to find out which celebrities mother threatened to kill Wes and which year at Scarefest almost did him in.

Horror & SciFi Prop Preservation Association SF2021 E30

Props, costumes, and film relics are the topics of this week’s show as Wes hosts James Azrael and Craig Champion of the Horror and SciFi Prop Preservation Association (HSPPA for short). The HSPPA is a not-for-profit museum containing a vast collection of screen-used and production made props that spans about every genre of the film industry

Wes, James, and Craig discuss how this incredible collection began, the technical aspects of transporting these treasured pieces, how they select content for each show, and what can be handled and what can’t. We also get a sneak peek at some amazing props from ASH VS THE EVIL DEAD, PUPPET MASTER, and other well-known films and shows.

In our regular features we get another round of announcements and cancellations as well as Joe Lewis’ analysis of the new Amazon Prime anthology series THEM.

Not An Episode with Brandon Griffith

When is an episode not an episode? It’s when Wes brings us an extra special broadcast just to catch us up on some last-minute news. Wes gets the scoop directly from our own Brandon Griffith, calling in live directly from the fishing pond.

The main newsflash focuses on a double-booking snafu for Tony Todd, Candyman himself, who sadly couldn’t make it to Scarefest this year. However, there is some light at the end of the tunnel in the form of a wish-come-true reunion as some of the cast of the WISHMASTER series will be joining the festivities.

And no episode (that’s not an episode) would be complete without a visit from Joe Lewis, who gives us his thoughts on A QUIET PLACE 2.

R.I.P. Coyote Chris Sutton…. we’ll all miss your wisdom.

Seven Weeks Away SF 2021 E29

Scarefest is creeping up on us as Wes and Chad Harlan discuss the lead up to the big event. This show couldn’t get started any better than a promise of a small dump. It’s not what you think…thank goodness! It’s just a heaping pile of celebrity announcements.

Wes and Chad also discuss the quality of the upcoming movies to be showcased in the Film Festival, lay out the details for all of the great events to come like throwing axes with killers and Scream Queen bowling as well as cover some frequently asked questions. Also, we wish a very happy birthday to Anita Forsythe.

Stick around for Joe Lewis’ review of the mind-bending GREEN KNIGHT, a slow burn horror tale based on Arthurian legend.

Michael Ayers SF 2021 E28

Wes and Chad Harlan kick it into overdrive as their guest this week is Michael Ayers, owner of the horror themed Phantom Ghost Project UTV. That’s an all-terrain vehicle, ya’ll…and yet it’s not.

Michael talks about how he got into utility terrain vehicle customization, what moved him towards horror themed builds, and the Phantom Ghost’s crazy array of added features. It’s Mike’s first Zoom call so there are some pesky WiFi gremlins making trouble during the show. After all – he’s in a garage in Tennessee.

Regular weekly features bring us a cheeky review of the animatronic nightmare that is WILLY’S WONDERLAND, starring Nicholas Cage, and a fresh batch of tantalizing announcements.

Report on Lex Live with Chad Harlan 2021 E19

Chad Harlan takes the reigns on this week’s show as he brings us an in-depth look at Lexington’s new entertainment location Lex Live. Lex Live will be host to some of Scarefest’s most highly anticipated entertainment events like the Film Festival and The Scream Queen Bowl-O-Rama.

Due to a few technical difficulties the show is little shorter than usual but is packed full of information about the food, the fun, and all of the amenities available at Lex Live. How many other places have bowling balls that look like billiard balls?

Also keep a lookout for Joe Lewis’ review of the Shudder exclusive movie PSYCHO GOREMAN, a movie specifically made to be a cult film.

Jennifer Banko 2021 E11

This week Wes and co-host Chad Harlan welcome the spunky Jennifer Banko. Banko has made numerous appearances in movies and on TV but is best known for her role in FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 7: THE NEW BLOOD. Banko is also set to appear in the upcoming FRIDAY THE 13TH fan film, 13 FANBOY.

Banko discusses 13 FANBOY, how she got into acting, what it’s like to be a child actor, and the possibility of having real life stalker fans. She also speaks a little bit about her interest in tarot reading. It is an interesting evening, indeed.

All of this plus more celebrity announcements and Joe Lewis give us a review for a British ghost story anthology movie.

Tony Todd Couldn’t Be with Us Tonight SF13 E9

If the title doesn’t give it away, Tony Todd was unavailable this evening. What’s a host to do? He wings it! Wes and co-host CC Ann stretch their collective improv talents by giving us an off-the-cuff discussion of Todd’s movies, check the chatroom for viewers’ favorite Tony Todd roles, and debate the merits of the movie SKY SHARKS.

There are also several celebrity announcements in the mix. Spoiler alert, one of them is a major Scream Queen! In addition, Joe Lewis gives us his impression of the British horror-comedy GET DUKED!

Don’t forget to keep an ear out for Wes’ super-secret extra F-Bomb of the Day.

The Booth Brothers 2021 E6

This week Wes and co-host Billy Crank are joined by the remarkably multi talented Booth Brothers. The Booths bring a wide variety of skills to the show as directors, producers, actors, and musicians as well as being immense paranormal enthusiasts.

The Booths discuss their new documentary film THE ATTACHED, open up about their passion for the process of filmmaking and their inspirations, and weigh in on supernatural experiences they’ve had during the making of their films. There might even be a discussion about who they might have had fanboy reactions to at a prior Scarefest.

We also get a great retrospective on Clive Barker from Joe Lewis and Breaking the News gives us a peek at a WRONG TURN remake and tells us about Nicholas Cage’s kooky new horror movie.

Linnea Quigley 2021 E3

It’s a real treat tonight as Wes and co-host CC welcome Scream Queen royalty Linnea Quigley to the show. Linnea has a wrap sheet on IMDB that goes on for days including such classics as RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD and NIGHT OF THE DEMONS.

Linnea, Wes, and CC delve into how she moved from Iowa to California going from shy girl to horror movie darling, acting under aliases, a disastrous moment on the set of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET IV, and her involvement in pet rescues. She also plays in a band and has her own reality show in production. Now we just need that horror workout video of hers to make a comeback.

In our regular features Joe Lewis talks about his two favorite Linnea Quigley movies, Dick Pinkerton talks about the Black Dahlia, and Breaking the News gives us Mothmen and muppet horror movies.
