Let’s Review the Schedule (with Co-Host John Kassir) SF 2022 E31

Episodes don’t get much more exciting than this! Tonight, Wes welcomes an extra special co-host, the one and only John Kassir, best known as the voice of the legendary Crypt Keeper. If that’s not enough, Wes isn’t even wearing a Hawaiian shirt. Inconceivable!

Wes and John not only chat about all of the great events happening at Scarefest, but they also discuss John’s extremely prolific voice acting career, the time he wore a muscle body suit, and Lexington’s annual Thriller parade. Any kid of the 90’s could sit and listen to that familiar voice all night long.

Lastly, make sure to give extra special thanks to Joe Lewis for this week’s movie review. Joe really took a bullet for his fans and watched the recent vampire superhero film MORBIUS. He’ll never be the same again.

Dave Schrader SF 2022 E28

Tonight, Wes and co-host Katie Followell have the pleasure of speaking with Dave Schrader, a long-time radio show host who often delves in the strange world of the paranormal and unusual. Dave has filled in on Coast-to-Coast AM as well as appearing numerous times on TV series like Ghost Adventures and Paranormal State.

Dave talks about where his career began, what led him to his interest in the paranormal, working on the TV series Ghosts of Devil’s Perch, and his busy podcasting schedule. He even shares a thrilling story about his most dangerous paranormal investigation. Plus, we mention winged hippos and divvy out a little bit of demon talk.

Also, we can’t forget Joe Lewis. He digs a little ways back and brings us a review of OUTLANDER, a 2008 scifi/action/horror film and poses the questions, where else will you see Jesus, Hellboy, and dragons all in one movie?

Brian Bremer SF 2022 E22

Tonight, Wes and co-host Chad Harlan welcome actor Brian Bremer. Bremer is known for his role as Bunt Wallace in PUMPKINHEAD as well as starring in several other horror and sci-fi films as well as having a career in the theatre and voice acting. He’s currently the voice of the Planters company’s Mr. Peanut character.

Wes, Chad, and Brian talk at length about Stan Winston and Brian’s experience working on PUMPKINHEAD, his inspiration for moving into acting, and how voice acting is the key to longevity. We also get some cool inside facts about some of his films and a great Chip Coffey story.  Plus, don’t miss a mention of the movie TEST TUBE TEENS FROM THE YEAR 2000 and a brief aside on tobacco farming. It’s all in there.

In our regular features, we get a guest announcement for a sci-fi legend and Joe Lewis spills the beans about Edgar Wright’s psychological horror film LAST NIGHT IN SOHO. It’s pretty groovy.

R.A. Mihailoff SF 2022 E19

Fire up your chainsaws folks because this week’s show has Wes and first-time co-host Claire Heaney chatting with R.A. Mihailoff, aka Leatherface from LEATHERFACE: THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE III. R.A. not only acts, he’s also a member of the celebrity paranormal investigation group Hollywood Ghost Hunters.

R.A. discusses several of his more recent movie roles, his favorite kill from one of his movies, his work at a stunt show at Universal Studios as well as giving a pronunciation primer on his last name. We also learn why you can’t just practice killing people and even field a few questions from the chat room.

In our regular features, Joe Lewis steps outside of his customary analysis of horror flavored media to give us his thoughts on the historical drama mini-series CHERNOBYL airing on HBO Max.

Not An Episode with Brandon Griffith

When is an episode not an episode? It’s when Wes brings us an extra special broadcast just to catch us up on some last-minute news. Wes gets the scoop directly from our own Brandon Griffith, calling in live directly from the fishing pond.

The main newsflash focuses on a double-booking snafu for Tony Todd, Candyman himself, who sadly couldn’t make it to Scarefest this year. However, there is some light at the end of the tunnel in the form of a wish-come-true reunion as some of the cast of the WISHMASTER series will be joining the festivities.

And no episode (that’s not an episode) would be complete without a visit from Joe Lewis, who gives us his thoughts on A QUIET PLACE 2.

R.I.P. Coyote Chris Sutton…. we’ll all miss your wisdom.

Tiffany Shepis SF2021 E22

This week Wes and CC Ann host Scream Queen extraordinaire Tiffany Shepis, who may or may not have a score to settle with Wes.

The gang tackle all manner of topics including Shepis’ feelings on movie nudity, the movie she made with her husband during quarantine, her work on the CASUALTY FRIDAY podcast, and how much she loves doing conventions.

Plus, does a murder investigation/possession story work well together? We’ll find out as Joe Lewis shares his thoughts on the latest CONJURING movie, THE CONJURING: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT.

The Booth Brothers 2021 E6

This week Wes and co-host Billy Crank are joined by the remarkably multi talented Booth Brothers. The Booths bring a wide variety of skills to the show as directors, producers, actors, and musicians as well as being immense paranormal enthusiasts.

The Booths discuss their new documentary film THE ATTACHED, open up about their passion for the process of filmmaking and their inspirations, and weigh in on supernatural experiences they’ve had during the making of their films. There might even be a discussion about who they might have had fanboy reactions to at a prior Scarefest.

We also get a great retrospective on Clive Barker from Joe Lewis and Breaking the News gives us a peek at a WRONG TURN remake and tells us about Nicholas Cage’s kooky new horror movie.
